Amber is a San Francisco-based writer, karaoke all-star, and sunny-day fanatic. She writes for multiple publications about the juicy, sugared bits: music, cultural oddities, food, and sex. This busy woman is currently holding down at copywriting gig at Sephora, but also regularly writes words for Yours Truly.
Her work has been featured in NYLON Magazine, The San Francisco Bay Guardian, The SF Weekly, City Pages, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Betty Does, Common Ground Magazine, Momentum Magazine, Twin Cities Luxury and Fashion, among other fine reads.
This little lady grew up a Midwest hobby-farmer’s daughter. While there was no tending to the herd or churning butter, she does know how to drive a tractor, make hotdish, and survive a horrendous winter. Today she uses those Minnesotan survival skills to feed her relentless curiosity, perusing alleys and neighborhoods, documenting her findings with pen and camera.
You’re most likely to spot Amber in the bike lane, stalking tiny dogs, and crafting with found goods. She enjoys perusing the farmers market and memorizing produce prices, the company of mature adults, and strange children. Amber also really likes sloths and snacks.
Her spirit animal is a stallion.

Hire Amber to write for you. Or write her something magical of your own.
